Your Moon sign is calculated differently from your Western sun sign — it is based on where the Moon was at birth.

The Four Ikigai Questions

Answer honestly and specifically. Vague answers produce vague readings. The more precisely you answer, the more precisely your purpose can be mapped.

① What do you love?
Activities, subjects, states of being — what makes time disappear? What would you do even if no one paid you and no one watched? Be specific.
② What are you good at?
Skills, capacities, natural abilities — what do people consistently come to you for? What do you do better than most people around you without trying particularly hard?
③ What does the world need?
What problem or gap do you feel genuinely concerned about? What would you fix if you could? What suffering or absence do you notice that others seem to ignore?
④ What can sustain you?
What could you do that would feel worth doing even on difficult days? What form of contribution feels like it has enough meaning to keep going when things are hard?

Your answers are not sent anywhere. They are processed entirely in your browser.

Your Rashi's specific shaping of this purpose
How Your Moon Sign Refines the Picture

The Ikigai framework gives you the what. Your Rashi gives you the how — the specific psychological flavour, the characteristic strengths and blind spots, and the particular form your purpose needs to take in order to be sustainable for someone built the way you are. Without this layer, the Ikigai reading is generic. With it, it becomes yours.

About the Ikigai x Jyotish Tool

Ikigai provides a structured framework for mapping purpose; Jyotish provides a precise psychological portrait through the Moon sign. Neither is complete alone. Ikigai without Jyotish can produce a generic purpose map that does not account for individual psychological nature. Jyotish without the Ikigai structure can describe character without showing how to practically deploy it. This tool crosses the two: your Rashi filters and personalises the Ikigai mapping so the purpose identified is not just theoretically correct but psychologically congruent with how you actually function.

The Four Ikigai Questions Through a Jyotish Lens

What you love is shaped by Moon sign — Karka Rashis love nurturing; Dhanu Rashis love expanding and teaching. What you are good at is influenced by natural Rashi strengths — Kanya by precision, Simha by creative leadership. What the world needs is where Rashi shadow patterns often block the natural expression. What you can sustain is the practical test — and here the Moon sign is most revealing, since it shows the emotional bandwidth and habitual patterns that determine long-term sustainability.

Ikigai × Jyotish Purpose Finder

Ikigai — the Japanese concept of "reason for being" — identifies purpose at the intersection of what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. This tool extends the Ikigai framework with the Jyotish lens: mapping your purpose through the 10th house (worldly function), the Atmakaraka (soul indicator), and the current dasha period's invitation.

The Four Ikigai Circles

Passion (love + skill) · Mission (love + need) · Profession (skill + income) · Vocation (need + income). True Ikigai lives at the centre where all four overlap. Most people find two or three circles easily; the fourth is typically the one requiring the most development or courage.

The Jyotish Layer

The 10th house in Vedic astrology governs Karma — one's worldly function and the work through which dharma is expressed outwardly. The planet ruling the 10th, planets placed in it, and its nakshatra provide precise information about the form your purpose most naturally takes in the world.

The Atmakaraka

The planet with the highest degree in your birth chart is the Atmakaraka — the soul indicator. It represents what the soul most wants to develop and offer in this incarnation. An Atmakaraka Saturn points toward mastery through discipline and service; an Atmakaraka Venus toward beauty, relationship, and creative refinement.

Purpose Is Not Static

Both Ikigai and Jyotish agree: purpose evolves. The current dasha (planetary period) you are running shapes which dimension of your purpose is most ripe for expression right now. The finder accounts for dasha timing alongside the structural purpose indicators.
